I don't recall a sizing chart when I ordered the W.I.N.O.S. shirt (Woman In Need of Sanity) for myself and my daughter. There is one now and the caution "runs small" is grossly understated. They were cute, we both drink wine on occasion, and we are in need of a little sanity. I ordered a medium for her and a large for me; she's tinier than I am and I don't like my tee shirts skin tight. Trust me--it's not attractive when your boobies are only a couple of inches higher than where you tuck in your shirt. Unfortunately, neither shirt fit us and they could not be returned.
Did I learn anything from this? I guess not lol.
No, they are not unless you're a small girl of about ten years old, and to make matters worse, the smell when I opened the package was enough to burn my eyes and throat. There was no way I could even force myself to try it on but by holding my breath and closing my eyes, I held it up to my chest. Nope! The only way I could fit into it was if my entire body had been bound since I was a pre-teen, and even then the smell would have the skunk I've been dealing with, in my backyard, running for the hills.
The closest thing I can compare that smell to is formaldehyde which is used in embalming and it is a carcinogen. My guess is the shirt would have outlasted me, probably preserved for centuries. Now, to be fair, I don't know that it was formaldehyde because who, in their right mind is going to post that information, I only know that's what it smelled like. I refolded the shirt and immediately stuffed it back into the plastic bag, sealed it, and washed my hands.
I regret that I did not do my due diligence before ordering this item. It is made of cotton chiffon which should be cool for summer weather, but cotton chiffon is see-through. I'm here to tell you, at my age I don't want anyone seeing through my clothing.
The next step was to ask for a refund based on the smell and the size. The company was nice enough to respond but only addressed the size issue while telling me the items could not be refunded because they were on a final sale...something I neglected to note when I placed my order. They would offer my a credit to my account however. How sweet! ... like I'd ever purchase anything from them again. Lesson learned.
